Two very special teachers in our classroom are Momma Lori and Baby Eli. Our classroom participates in the program Roots of Empathy. Roots of Empathy is a program that matches classrooms with babies and their families. Each week we have a Roots of Empathy instructor come in and teach a lesson about human and emotional development. Monthly, Baby Eli and Momma Lori come in. These visits are the highlight of our week! This week we learned the Baby Eli can roll over, sit up on his own and likes to bounce as much as possible! We also met his nanny, Mary. While he visited us, he interacted with many students and laughed at some of our silly antics. We also got to see him play with several toys which was very exciting! At the end of each visit we sing our goodbye to him and Momma Lori while they walk around the circle. We are already excited for our next visit!
